Every year, leading companies in the field of smart mobility all over the world meet at EcoMotion, Israel’s startup network with around 600 member companies from mobility, logistics and aviation. Now, for the first time, the German automotive industry is represented with a joint pavilion initiated by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).

EcoMotion is attended by about 4,000 guests from around the globe. In Israel there are 5,000 startups, which is more per capita than practically anywhere else in the world. Roughly 600 of these startups are active in the mobility and transportation sector. On May 19, VDA President Hildegard Müller will deliver a keynote speech at EcoMotion.

“Our German pavilion at EcoMotion brings member companies and network partners to this international startup trade fair. In this way we’re supporting the technological expertise and innovative drive in the German automotive industry and pushing forward the digitization of mobility. The cooperation between the VDA and EcoMotion enables, in particular, smaller and mid-sized companies that are not represented in Israel to have an international presence at the show,” said Hildegard Müller, President of the VDA.

Because of the pandemic, this year’s EcoMotion from May 18 to 20 is not being held in Tel Aviv but as a virtual event. The VDA’s German pavilion offers manufacturers and suppliers the opportunity to present themselves at the exhibition and to scout for partners and new technologies. The participating companies include ElringKlinger, Coroplast, Invest in Bavaria, Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg, Hamburg Invest, Baden-Württemberg International, Brain of Materials, Segula Technologies, Thomas Magnete, Kromberg & Schubert, SiaSearch and e-troFit. They are also taking part in the German reverse pitch session on May 18.

Participation at the EcoMotion trade show is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA).
