Cars can already park themselves or automatically maintain the right distance. Soon there will be other highly automated functions. And digitization can also make a contribution to climate protection: One-fifth of traffic jams in Germany could be avoided through efficient networking. That alone could save 233 million liters of fuel and up to 60,000 tons of CO₂.

Three trends shape the digital mobility of tomorrow: the increasing networking of vehicles with each other, the networking of vehicles with other devices, and the networking with the transport infrastructure. As always, the German automotive industry is ideally positioned when it comes to the technologies of the future.
