Hybrid vehicles
Hybrid vehicles combine the best of both worlds: Climate-friendly driving with an electric drive, plus the security of long ranges from a combustion engine. This makes them the ideal entry level vehicles for electromobility.

Efficiency and user behavior
Hybrid vehicles represent an efficient and ecologically advantageous solution for reducing CO₂ emissions. They combine the best of both worlds to enable more efficient and cleaner driving. The electric powertrain ensures pleasant and environmentally friendly driving over short and medium distances, such as in the city, accompanied by improved air quality. At the same time, the efficient combustion engine allows for covering the necessary range should it be required.
It is regrettable that the European Commission has given the hybrid an ultimatum with its "Fit for 55" package. A continued openness to technology would be welcome here. Instead of injunctions or design restrictions, it would make more sense to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of certain technologies and to adapt the corresponding regulations. Against the backdrop of the sluggish development of the charging infrastructure in many European countries, hybrid concepts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles represent an excellent choice for making road traffic more climate-friendly.
